The Holly Martins: Lorin Benedict, voice; Kasey Knudsen, alto saxophone; Eric Vogler, guitar

The Holly Martins (Kasey Knudsen- alto saxophone, Eric Vogler- guitar, and Lorin Benedict- voice) is a trio dedicated to playing structured improvisations which make heavy use of jazz underpinnings, but which lack the trappings of a traditional "rhythm section". They have released two albums to date ("No, No, Yes, No"- Edgetone Records, 2010; "You Know, I Was Just About To... "- Jazzschool Records, 2016) and have performed in numerous venues throughout the Bay Area (as well as in NY and OR) since 2009.

Phillip Greenlief solo - performing MAP SCORES: THE FIFTY STATES

Inspired by a cross-country trip in 2014, Phillip Greenlief created a map score exploring the fifty united states of north america. Greenlief has been composing his Map Scores since 2006, using maps from places he has traveled to create space for free improvisation, while including a variety of compositional elements that are expressed in various notation systems. Tonight's performance is the west coast premiere of this work, in four parts.

Cost: $6 - $10, sliding scale
