Bassist, composer and bandleader Lisa Mezzacappa premieres a new suite of music for jazz sextet, inspired by Italo Calvino’s Cosmicomics stories on the origins of the universe, and the invisible forces at work in the cosmos.
Lisa Mezzacappa Six features:
Aaron Bennett, tenor sax
John Finkbeiner, guitar
Mark Clifford, vibraphone
Tim Perkis, electronics
Jordan Glenn, drums

The music will be premiered in two concerts: on Friday, November 2 at the CA Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley; and on Saturday, November 3 at Bird & Beckett Books in San Francisco.
