---------------

Rumbaché has established itself as one of the hottest Bay Area Salsa Bands! Fusing salsa, timba, bomba, funk and whatever else they can find to spice up the mood, they provide a hard-hitting style of playing. Rumbaché plays Cuban styles of music, with heavy influences in funk and jazz.

Rumbaché features Omar Ledezma (Vocals), Christelle Durandy (Vocals), Jordan Wilson (vocals), Patricio Angulo (Traps with Timbal, Musical Director), Sergio Duran (Congas & Vocals), Bill Ortiz (Trumpet), Darren Smith (Baritone Sax, Coro), Jeff Cressman (Trombone), Jason Moen (Piano), and Ernesto Mazar Kindelan (bass).

Reviews

…They've successfully added several extremely difficult Timba classics to their set list, but even their standard fare is now packed with modern Timba ideas—gear changes and numbered bloques spontaneously signaled by timbalero/leader Patricio Angulo, creative tumbaos from pianist Jason Moen and bassist Mike Lazarus, and interesting original coros, nicely executed and harmonized by a front line consisting of no less than four lead singers…

Percussionist Patricio Angulo is one of the rising talents on the Bay Area Latin music scene, and tonight he plays the Shattuck Down Low Lounge in Berkeley with his band Rumbaché (formerly Quimbombó) . . . . . A rumbero with a firm hand on conga drums, Patricio draws inspiration from Cuba and passes it on to his audience with an excellent repertoire designed to spin you onto the dance floor.
