"As the politics move toward destruction and away from survival we must heal our souls and the soul pf the planet."
Cartoon Justice started during the dark years of the G. W. Bush Administration as the 'Political Wing' of the ambient noise duo Theory Garden. With an initial focus on doing political instrumentals, Cartoon Justice has expanded into a fluid set of players taking on both free improv, ambient post-industrial noisescapes and dark psychedelic folk-rock and post-rock songs. Their improv draws on the primal indigenous sound of earth, and the psychedelic jazz funk vocabulary of the free fusion experiments of Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, and Sun Ra. And the electroacoustic music of Stockhausen, Xenakis, Ligeti.
