PLEASE NOTE: This will be the last OFJS at Studio Grand. Since October 2015, Oakland Freedom Jazz Society has taken place every Monday night at Studio Grand. (OFJS also presented twice-monthly shows at Studio Grand on Weds. nights from July-October 2014, and monthly on Weds. from November 2014-October 2015.) Lineups have featured avant-jazz, experimental and noise performances by local and touring musicians and multimedia artists.

OFJS is a long-running (6 years and counting!) series curated by Fernando Carpenter of VAMP. It has survived many changes of venue in the past (The Layover, Duende, Spice Monkey…) and will hopefully find a new home soon! For more information and updates, check out OFJS's Facebook page.
