The Spirit of Invention III is an interactive indoor and outdoor exhibit plus live performances of Bay Area Instrument Makers, curated by
Peter Whitehead.
Join us for a reception on Friday, May 10th at the Bridge Storage and ArtSpace main gallery, located at 23 Maine Avenue in Richmond. Visitors will be invited to experience hands-on some of the instruments on display.
The exhibition will represent the great variety of work being created in the field of instrument design and invention in the Bay Area. All types of instrument will be represented – from the simple, quick to make, to more sophisticated hand-crafted designs, new variations on folk instruments, recycled junk constructions, re-configured pianos, electro- acoustic sound sculptures and electronics.
