7:30 pm Gas The Man
Trumpet player and composer Doug Ellington debuts his newest ensemble Gas the Man. Out of thin air, sonic dissonance gives way to a harmonious body of unified expression. All the members arise from various back grounds both musically and socially, drawn together for multiple reasons almost as varied as each of their backgrounds.
Doug Ellington - trumpet, Endika (aka) Andrew Currier - bass, Kenny Corso - guitar, Clay Bandy Jr. - drums

8:30 pm Rent Romus' Life's Blood Ensemble will be performing new compositions some never heard before. The band pays tribute as well as bring to light, reinvents, deconstructs, and delves into the deep realms of their collective vision. Their repertoire features original composition and contemporary local and international composers while exploring the influences and inspirations of jazz and improvisation.
Rent Romus - alto saxophone, Timothy Orr - drums/percussion, Safa Shokrai - double bass,
Heikki Koskinen - e-trumpet/recorder, Joshua Marshall - tenor saxophone, Tim DeCeiils - vibes
