The Cecilia Engelhart 4Tet is a joining together of stellar jazz players and improvisers. Led by Cecilia Engelhart and
John Schott, this quartet performs all original compositions. The music is based on Jazz, Latin American song and free improvisation, each composition a starting point for musical exploration. Cecilia is joined by some of the best and most creative musicians on the scene today;
John Schott, Essiet Essiet and
Scott Amendola are each composers, band leaders, arrangers, producers in their own right. Together with Cecilia, this is a quartet of groove and possibility.
