Live Electronic Music Performances at Anno Domini Gallery, San Jose.
12/8/23 7pm

Enjoy veteran Bay Area Electronic Musicians, Doug Lynner, Franck Martin, and MaYir, in three solo sets of modular synthesizer music performed through a Quadraphonic Sound System.

Anno Domini is an anchor for the downtown San Jose art scene. Ample parking and many dinner opportunities are nearby.

The performers are:

Doug Lynner

Doug is known for his intimate, “In-The-Circuit” performance style. That style has given birth to his “Living Synthesis” compositions - part fixed composition, part improvisation, part circuit immersion.

His process is to create unique instruments for each performance that are self-active and cross-influencing in which he participates through direct interaction with each instrument’s autonomic activities through their knobs, switches and patch cords.

Franck Martin

Born and raised in France, a 20-year resident of Fiji and traveler to all the Pacific Islands, Franck Martin is now based out of San Francisco. His musical journey encompasses this multicultural experience.

His search for sounds, emotions, going outside the rules, led him to experiment with micro-tones and quadraphonic music using either his modular synthesizer or producing music in 5.1 surround sound, ambisonic or Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio.

MaYir

MaYir started his electronic music journey about 15 years ago with soft synths on computers and iPads and transitioned to hardware about 12 years ago.

He’s a regular performer at Resonant Frequencies,a monthly community synth gathering. During the pandemic he started streaming live online on Facebook and on YouTube with the Earth Modular Society.
