Kevin CK Lo is a composer, choreographer, writer and artist living on Chechenyo Ohlone land (Oakland). In his compositions for live performance and installation, he utilizes instruments, digital sound processing and generative programming environments to examine spatial and auditory sensitivities, topological structure and audience kinesthetic response while seeking to corrupt conventional compositional/performative/installative rationale.
He is also one half of the experimental interdisciplinary duo, DROUGHT SPA, alongside alex cruse. They have performed or presented at Cloaca Projects, Brown University, San Francisco State University's Poetry Center, UC Berkeley's Center for New Media and Audio Technologies, Gray Area (San Francisco), CounterPulse (San Francisco), SOMArts (San Francisco), B4BEL4B Gallery (Oakland), the Oakland Museum of California, H0L0 (NYC), Vaska Emanouilova Gallery (Sofia), Aeromoto (Mexico City), Audio Foundation (Auckland), the International Symposium of Electronic Art (Vancouver), and elsewhere.

"When talking about music—his or others’—Derek Gedalecia exudes palpable excitement. He boasts a handwritten journal filled with a daily listening log of albums, podcasts and comedy sets, an ever-growing document of his myriad influences and interests—”a lot of stuff probably gets through a filter that other people would abandon as something silly,” he says of his endless openness to artistic surprise and discovery. Making music under the name Headboggle (or a handful of minor variations such as Head Boggle, Head Boggle’d, Head-Boggle, Headboggled, etc.) since 2006, Gedalecia has amassed a catalog of close to 100 releases that cycle through an ensemble cast of varying sonic characters while always retaining the musician’s penchant for gleeful chaos."

TanukiSpiderCat is an improvisational blend of electric cello, modular synth, and samples. By dissecting sound into pieces and manipulating these fragments in real-time, the artist sculpts an ever-evolving and fluid soundscape. Looping, layered, and staggering ever forwards. It’s a fragmented, unlikely and chimerical animal hailing from San Francisco.
