Korean Experimental Music Festival: Korean Wind Instruments with Electronics (faculty works)
CNMAT and the Department of Music premiere new works mixing electronics with traditional musicians from the National Gugak Center in Seoul, Korea. Featured faculty composers include Edmund Campion and Ken Ueno (UC Berkeley), Hi Kyung Kim and Matthew Schumaker (UC Santa Cruz), and Jarek Kapuscinski (Stanford University).
The 100-seat venue occupies a former lecture hall at Morrison Hall, a building that also houses music classrooms, practice rooms, and Berkeley’s storied collection of baroque, classical, gamelan, and other world instruments.
