For this performance, collaborators Bobrowski and Stackpole will pair shimmering gongs with a one-of-a-kind instrument called the Gliss Glass, a series of water-filled vessels which can create continuously sliding pitches. Bobrowski bows surfaces and shifts water levels to elicit a range of evocative tones, amplified and blended with the sound of Stackpole’s resonant gongs.
