Opening Ears Concert Series

Greetings music lovers!
I’m pleased to announce the next installment of the opening ears concert series will be taking place on April 26, at 6pm.
This will mark the first appearance of the wonderful Ron Heglin (voice), who will be performing alongside longtime collaborator Tom Djll (electronics). I was struck by their beautiful 2025 release Duo for Voice and Runglers, and thought they would be a perfect counterpart for the second act… a trio consisting of David Israel Katz (voice), Elango Kumaran (voice), and Ari Brown (trumpet and voice).
This evening will be a celebration of gibberish… whimsical, invented language used to convey musical intent… taking the building blocks of language and bending them to impulse.
