Roar Shack Live! presents
Pamela Z + The Living Earth Show
Pamela Z joins The Living Earth Show for an evening of surprises in works for voice and electronics, percussion, guitar, video, and strange behavior.
Building off their prior collaborations (The Qube Chix reunion last season and a visiting artists residency at U of Michigan),
Pamela Z and The Living Earth Show create a new, concert-length collaborative production. Performed as a trio of
Pamela Z (vocals/electronics), Travis Andrews (guitars), and Andy Meyerson (percussion), the group explores song, improvisation, chamber composition, and experimental performance as they build a SF-centric artistic vocabulary and practice.

BREATHING is a movement from Carbon Song Cycle (a inter-media chamber work by composer/performer Pamela Z and visual artist Christina McPhee). The work was originally written for voice & electronics, bassoon, viola, cello, percussion, and tape. This is a solo version performed by the composer (with just voice, processing, and tape), recorded at a 3/13/2014 duo concert with Joan La Barbara as part of the 2014 ROOM Series. Pamela Z is using a gesture controller (designed and built by Donald Swearingen). © 2013 Last Letter Music (ASCAP)
