Bristle, the Northern California based sax-and-strings-fueled chamber jazz quartet of
Randy McKean,
Cory Wright, Murray Campbell, and
Lisa Mezzacappa, channels the individual virtuosity of its members into intricate group interactions that blur the line between composition and cooperative game strategies.
String, Skin & Breath is a global ensemble blending ancient traditions with contemporary expression through spontaneous, deeply collaborative performance. Drawing from Persian and North African modes, chamber music, global folk traditions, and jazz improvisation, the group moves fluidly between original compositions, reimagined songs, and in-the-moment creation.
