Friends and interested parties -

Next Monday evening, January 13, we'll have a little wingding in honor of great music. We've organized a casual piano salon to explore and discuss (and enjoy) the various facets of the piano as told by four outstanding
performers:

Sarah Cahill ..... performs David Lang's 'memory pieces'

Luciano Chessa ...... performs his own "Cirri"

Gabriela Frank ...... performs works based on Andean folk music

Eric Glick Rieman ...... performs his work in progress "Warily, As If On Fire"

In the spirit of bringing very fine music into a very casual/comfortable setting (read: a bar), all are welcome to join in - there should be ample opportunity to ask questions, demand explanations and repetitions, and express euphoric glee or dyspeptic disfavor. Interaction is the key, in an effort to demystify so-called 'concert music' just a little bit in a place where you can have refreshments at hand and then repair to the boulevard for a proper supper.
