Chum Frink: Named for the "corporate poet" of Sinclair Lewis's 1922 novel "Babbitt", Chum Frink is a Bay Area band interested in bringing together the parallel energies they hear in various freedom-based psychedelic musics of the past 4-5 decades. The goal is a physical music, w/old-fashioned 'analog' instruments, that sounds alive. Reference points include This Heat, Faust, U.S. Maple, Black Dice, Supersilent, Sonny Murray, Konono, William Parker, Sun City Girls.
