Josh Allen is one of the most powerful tenor saxophonists in the Bay Area. His rich and unique expressive sounds can only be fully experienced in a live small group setting. You can hear the ghosts of sax giants of the past in this spirit though the horn as well as experience true originality.

Lisa Mezzacappa took up the bull fiddle after a failed run for Miss Staten Island. In her previous life as a New Yorker, she performed in the Coney Island Mermaid Parade and all over the Lower East Side with the Lascivious Biddies, and gigged at some of the city’s top new music venues (the Knitting Factory, Tonic, Makor) with the Middle Eastern band Pharaoh’s Daughter (Knitting Factory Records). She closed the millennium in a concert with the Sun Ra Arkestra, played bass on techno scores for TV commercials, and had a brief stint in Europe moonlighting as a cruiseship musician.
She’s studied bass with Michael Formanek and Dave Holland and was an artist-in-residence at the 2000 Banff International Jazz Workshop, where she played with Joey Baron and Joe Lovano. She’s also played in jazz ensembles with Bob Moses, David Murray, Jerry Bergonzi and Clark Terry. In 2001, Lisa was awarded a grant to perform new music for her improv-electronica trio in New York, praised by the NYC press as “wild, contemporary...rich and well thought out...extravagantly accomplished.” Most recently, she has studied with Steve Coleman and Henry Threadgill.

Vijay Anderson has performed/recorded with Lynn Johnston, Adam Lane's Full Throttle Orchestra, Go-Go Fightmaster, and The Facing East Dance Company. He earned a B.A. in music fron S.F. State University where he studied with Eddie Marshall. He continues to play in various groups throughout the bay area.
Aurora has performed with The Contemporary Performance Ensemble under Steed Cowart and William Winant(including performances with James Tenney, Christian Wolff & Pauline Oliveros), George Lewis' Ensemble, Alvin Curran, Xopher Davidson, Elizabeth Gray, Danielle DeGruttola, Matt Ingalls, Henry Kaiser, Miya Masoaka, John Shiurba, Damon Smith, Andrew Voight.

Jacob Lindsay has been an active member of the Transbay Creative Music scene since 1995 beginning with early collaborations with Bassist Damon Smith. He studied clarinet with Ben Goldberg, Jim Freeman, and Mark Brandenburg. He has also studied and participated in workshops with Lisle Ellis and Wolfgang Fuchs. He has performed in the large ensembles of Ben Goldberg and Marco Eneidi.
