Odd Shaped Case is an independent label, distribution, and production
company based in San Francisco. We primarily focus on promoting new music
derived from the musical cultures of the Balkans and Middle East,
Jazz/Improvistion, and Electronics through supporting new recordings,
concerts, and publications. OSC was founded in 2001, and has since grown to
include over 15 bands and numerous side projects. OSC is managed in a co-op
format by the artists themselves. This allows us complete creative freedom
while maintaining a company structure that is self-supportive.

Part of the challenge for an independent organization such as OSC is having
access to adequete distribution channels. The purpose of the two-night benefit
is to begin the process of raising funds for promotional materials that we
will use for achieving distribution of our releases. Ticket prices are
sliding scale ($8 - $20) and will feature music from many of the groups on
the label. Saturday will feature music from the Toids, Aaron Novik’s Cutting Guard, and GOJOGO.

Cost: $8-20
