Melody Nicholson, the illustrious, well-loved after school program director at Downer Elementary School in Richmond received a kidney transplant nine years ago donated by her then 18year-old son, Rick. The life span of the kidney has been gradually failing over the last year and is now in full rejection. Melody needs a living donor and may also be facing the need for a liver transplant. As well, due to the horrific pressures of trying to sustain everyday financial responsibilities, she has been forced to work even when clearly ill. That time, too, is ending. So, we FRIENDS OF MELODY
