SUBJECTS OF DESIRE

Lisa B. texts, spoken word, vocals . . . Lisa is a poet, singer, and spoken word artist . . . Her book The Transparent Body was published by Wesleyan University Press.

Jim Ryan text, spoken word, processed voice/kalimba/flute. . . . a poet and veteran of improv music from Paris to the East Coast to the Bay Area improv scene, Jim founded Subjects of Desire in 2002 and has produced one CD of the group. It focuses on the artistic challenge of creating a fully integrated expression of sound and text.

Scott R. Looney keys/computer/and electronic sounds. Bristling with hi tech and music degrees, Scott roams the galaxies of sound from inside the jazz tradition to the far side of experimentation with what can only be deemed a supremely competent mastery of technical skills and a marvelous depth of heart.

Andrew Wilshausen percussion/drums. A highly accomplished musician who joined the Bay Area improv scene from the midwest a few years ago. He is part of several very differing groups. Andrew established the monthly I.C.E. experimental jam evening at The Jazz House in Berkeley at the beginning of 2004 and it has proved a boon to non-mainstream musical explorers.
