Paul Rutherford/Torsten Muller/Harris Eisenstadt Trio
A rare West Coast appearance by this international troika of renowned improvisers (on trombone, contrabass, and percussion) who first played together at the 2003 Sugar Refinery Improvised Music Festival in Vancouver. Among legendary trombonist Rutherford's nearly 100 recordings are sessions with Anthony Braxton and Evan Parker, and the 1970s seminal solo trombone record "The Gentle Harm of the Bourgeoisie." Muller co-founded the King Ubu Orchestra and has collaborated with a who's-who of the international improvised music community. Eisenstadt is one of the most in-demand young percussionists working today and splits time between Los Angeles and New York.
