Percussionist Harris Eisenstadt (US/CAN) is joined by Torsten
Muller (CAN/DE) on contrabass, Paul Rutherford (UK) on
trombone, and Sara Schoenbeck (US) on bassoon in a concert of
improvised music featuring solo and group compositions.
Eisenstadt, an LA-based improviser noted for his range and
musical sensitivity, has performed in Africa, North
America and Europe at major festivals and concert series
including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, World New
Music Days Switzerland, Vancouver International Jazz
Festival, SFAlt Festival, and at traditional Mandinka
celebrations throughout the Brikama region of Gambia, West
Africa. Highlights of his teaching include work as a
demonstrating artist for Lincoln Center's "Rhythm Is Our
Business" jazz education program in New York City.
