Meridian Music: Composers in Performance presents "Full Moon Rising" by Beau Casey (electronics and video)
“Full Moon Rising” is lunar celebration specially composed for the Meridian Gallery concert series to coincide with astrological phase and planetary alignment. The performance will utilize contemporary electronic music techniques and video mixing.
Beau draws from the stylistic well of intelligent dance, ambient, academic and minimal music. This gathering will also celebrate the recent releases of two compilations containing Beau’s works. The Linux Open Source Sound Project (L.O.S.S.) has been released by United Kingdom independent label Access Space and is funded by the Arts Council of England. pd~ is a label for pd related audiovisual artworks and was founded 2005 by the pd~graz community. The first DVD release was recently made, which contains artworks performed at the first pd~convention in Graz, 2004. Both releases will be available for sale at the event.
