Phonography as Art and Activism Discussion Panel
Marcos Fernandes will facilitate a public discussion panel of phonographers. The Phonography panel will address the issue of field recording as art vs. documentation with analogies to other disciplines such as photography; Acoustic Ecology as social activism and preservation of our sonic environment; the use of phonography in improvisation and the challenges encountered therein. The panel will also answer questions regarding the tools and techniques used in phonography.
