10TH Anniversary SFJAZZ Spring Season Presents SFJAZZ COLLECTIVE
Commissioned exclusively by SFJAZZ, the Collective’s 2009 repertoire will include new arrangements of the work of legendary pianist McCoy Tyner and original compositions by Collective members. The all-star roster includes tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano; alto saxophonist and recent MacArthur “Genius Grant” winner Miguel Zenón; trumpeter Dave Douglas; trombonist Robin Eubanks; pianist Renee Rosnes; bassist Matt Penman; and drummer Eric Harland.
