The ADORNO Ensemble, SF State’s new music ensemble-in-residence, pays tribute to New York’s renowned new music group Bang on a Can with works by David Lang, Julia Wolfe and Evan Ziporyn, plus San Francisco’s own Dan Becker, Ryan Brown and a premiere from Jonathan Russell.
A young organization, ADORNO has made major contributions to the world of live music with compelling performances and groundbreaking projects. The group was named 2006 Best Classical Group by fingeronthepulse.com and has garnered favorable mention from the New Yorker.
