Celebrated trombonist, project organizer, producer, and master of chaos JOSH ROSEMAN performing with his skronky quartet, the WATER SURGEONS! This special evening marks the Surgeons SF debut, an event which will be broadened and deepened by the ambient services of Roseman's longtime friend and collaborator David Boyce (Broun Fellinis), who will tune the room with a sound installation before, after, and between sets.
A semi-ambient chamber ensemble complete with trombone choir, ample electronics, daring multi-instrumentalism, and a careful selection of small sea creatures, the Water Surgeons quartet explores jazz composition of the modern electroacoustic variety. Each member a gentleman dabbler and lunatic doubler, the music is collaboratively constructed and extemporaneously dismantled.
