Hypnagogia
Between Waking and Dreaming
A One Night Art Exhibition and Musical Performance Event

On Saturday, June 27th, Climate Theater will host the next one-night multi-media event/party, curated by the Climate Curatorial Collective: Hypnagogia. The evening will present a diverse grouping of Bay Area art in all genres, as well as live musical and sound art performances including: a solo saxophone/circular breathing performance by Philip Greenlief, a musical/sound art performance by The Flip Quartet with Polly Moller, and a live video and sound performance by Sean Clute and Jessica Gomula.

Other highlights of the evening will be Stephani Martinez' alternate landscape installation, constructed of crocheted sculptures, and a screening of Vanessa Woods' handmade films.

Hypnagogia defines the state between sleeping and waking: the state in which our dreams can seem more real to us than the waking world. For this one evening, the labyrinthine spaces of the theater and neighboring gallery will be transformed into a surreal and fluid experience by participating artists addressing dream states and the unconscious in a variety of media, which will include: film with live accompaniment, interactive sound sculpture, sound collage, sculptural installation, video projection, drawing, photography, painting, multi-media performance, and live musical performance.

We hope you will join us for this unique event!
