The Sound Art Group at Mills College under the direction of James Fei presents David Tudor's classic electro-acoustic environment, Rainforest IV.
In Rainforest, ordinary objects are transformed to speakers by directly-coupled transducers. The resonant qualities of the objects filter and modify the sound sources, which are prepared by each participant. This version of Rainforest IV is created by: Evan Adams, Anne Allison, Drew Ceccato, Alex Cristie, Wiljago Cook, Rhea Cutillo, Dan McAnulty, Farley Miller, Joseph Rosenzweig, Estee Schwartz, Michael Walker, Sarina Wensel, Carson Whitley, Andrea Williams, and Peter Wong
