Equally comfortable playing jazz, hardcore punk, soft rock or free experimental improv, Custodio's drumming draws from a myriad of influences without genre boundaries. He is in demand as a performer and improviser, working with the Valerie Mih Trio, Eddie Gale, Rent Romus, David Slusser and The Splatter Trio, among others. He has several critically acclaimed independent recordings to his credit as a sideman, including those with Ernesto Diaz-Infante, LX Rudis, Tri-Cornered Tent Show and Say Bok Gwai. In addition to his work as a drummer, he has developed recordings and performances in experimental electronics under the moniker Nihil Communication.

Van Anh Vo: Dan Tranh (Vietnamese Zither), Dan Bo (Vietnamese Monochord), Percussion

Van Anh Vo is a master of the Dan Tranh and several other Vietnamese instruments and has contributed to Emmy Award winning ("Bolinao 52", 2009) and Academy Award nominated ("Daughter from Danang" 2003) soundtracks. In 1995, Van-Anh won first prize for best solo performance of modern folk music in the Vietnam National Dan Tranh Competition. She has since performed in more than fourteen countries and recorded in many broadcast programs inside and outside of Vietnam. Her first CD "Twelve Months, Four Seasons" was released in 2002.

Gary Schwantes has toured and recorded 2 CDs with the North Carolina based jazz-funk trio Hip Bones. He is founder of Ultra World X-tet, and produced the group's debut CD Moon and Legend. He has performed with groups under his name as well as Klezmania!, Pam Tillis, Lou Harrison, Animal Vegetable Television, S.F. Guzheng Music Society, and many others. He released a CD with Chinese composer Gang Situ and has composed music and done sound design for many organizations including Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company, Mickey Hart's Planet Drum, Craig Baldwin, Dimensions Dance Theater, ACT, and S.F. Legion of Honor Museum.
