Light A Fire: Play It Very, Very Loud
(Rock/free night, or, rather, a rock free night)
A.
GrexKarl A.D. Evangelista: guitar, vox, etc.
Margaret Rei Scampavia: keys, winds, vox, etc.
Grex (Karl A.D. Evangelista-guitar, vox, etc.; Margaret Rei Scampavia-keys, winds, vox, etc.) was formed in and around the Mills College music axis, emphasizing cross-idiomatic conceits and melding elements of disparate sources--free jazz, early minimalism, impressionist music, garage rock, electroacoustic improvisation, folk balladry--into something stark and eldritch. Remarks HurdAudio, “The striking thing about this music was its stubborn refusal to eschew any element in favor of another… offered with a headlong creative urge that made the unexpected turns and sequences into a joyful expression.”

QuinnEmery Barter: guitars, vox, etc.
Nate Brenner: drums, vox, etc.
Andrew Conklin: guitars, vox, etc.
Quinn is an Oakland trio of 3 men-children whose cranky guitars and lopsided songs are sweetened by minty vocals and the occasional cascade of bells. Music like this can only come from a city of crooked potholes and twinkling manmade lakes.

John Shiurba: guitar
