Studio 1510 is extremely pleased and privileged to present a concert featuring Endangered Blood, a new quartet project from 4 amazing musicians from the East Village/Downtown/Brooklyn scene. Chris Speed & Oscar Noriega on reeds, Trevor Dunn on bass, and Jim Black on Drums. The music these four play has been described by All About Jazz in the following glowing terms:
"This was some of the tightest, most sophisticated chordless quartet playing I've heard in this festival or otherwise. The writing was hip but not overly complex and emphasized melody in conjunction with harmony instead of vice versa. There were elements of bebop, Mariachi, free jazz and post-bop all seamlessly strung together."
