Sean Keenan is a San Francisco-based composer-performer, researcher, and educator whose work brings together electroacoustic music, structured improvisation, visual and text-based scoring, field recording, and computer-based sound processing.

Keenan often performs with various improvising/experimental groups, both in and outside of the Bay Area, generally playing either electric guitar or bass guitar. He also regularly performs using a mix of acoustic instruments and altering their sounds through electronic processes. His album Delay Music (2025) includes a selection of tracks from an ongoing sound project where he transforms personal field recordings through the visual coding language Max/MSP
