Open since January 31st, 2003, Mama Buzz Café is in one of Oakland's underground art districts, at 2318 Telegraph.

Nurturing Our Community
Mama Buzz is a café, gallery and gathering place for artists, creators and their communities. Whether it's caffeine on Monday morning, applauding local talent on Friday night, or enjoying a Mama Buzz tradition (Best of the Bay, 2002) of waffles and iced mochas for Sunday brunch, it's the perfect place to get your buzz on. We offer everything from organic coffee to loose tea, gourmet sandwich specials to the sweetest pastries, and don't forget fine art conversation and monthly gallery openings.

Creative Space
The new Buzz consists of a café, an art gallery, zine reading room, and a back patio that is accessible to both café and gallery space. Mama Buzz is conveniently located on Telegraph Avenue, close to bus lines and only blocks away from BART and freeway entrances. Mama Buzz is also the neighborhood coffee shop for such successful galleries as Ego Park (Best of the Bay, 2002), Door.7 and the newly relocated, 21 Grand.

Mama Buzz Business: Daytime and Nighttime Morning coffee and light breakfast items such as cereals, bagels, gourmet toast and jam, breakfast bagels (egg, bacon and cheese, and a veggie bacon option) pastries, various creative egg dishes along with ample reading material will entice early-bird customers. The lunch crowed is fueled by gourmet sandwiches, soups and salads (coming soon!).
