Jim Ryan (jimzeen productions), Scott Looney (Metaphysical Media), and Rent Romus (Outsound Research will inaugurate a new Multimedia Performance Series on February 24th. The series will take place on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month, thereafter. It will incorporate groups presenting music, projection, light, sound, spoken word, dance, video, and so on. The first show will feature The Left Coast Improv Group and another improv group to be announced soon.

The object of the series is to offer ground-breaking performances of local and out-of-area artists of the highest quality, and to integrate various genres in original performance works.

Video and audio recordings will be made of all performances, and each group will receive a raw DVD at the end of the show. Video and audio editing will be made available should the groups wish to distribute their work via digital media. In early November 2006 compilation DVDs and CDs will be produced from the Art Performance Lab’s (APL) archives and be made available during APL’s annual fundraiser.
