In many ways, Temescal Cafe is the glue that holds this neighborhood together. It opens earlier and closes later than most places. There are tables indoors and out, there's wifi, there's community. As for the food, the waffle selection alone (buttermilk, cornmeal, multigrain, blueberry, strawberry) makes a stop worthwhile. The sandwiches, soups and salads take the locals through lunch and dinner, and beer and wine are served.
