Tim DeCillis - drums, composition
Tim DeCillis is a percussionist, improviser, and composer, who in the past has played drums in art rock bands, vibraphone in jazz groups, percussion in contemporary music ensembles, and everything in between. Since moving to Oakland in 2014, he has forged working relationships with many up-and-coming players in the vibrant improvised music scene, including Eli Wallace, Crystal Pascucci, Mark Clifford, and Hamir Atwal, and continues to collaborate in a wide array of emerging musical projects. Harbinger marks Tim's first venture as a leader since his relocation to the bay area, and aims to chart the course of his most recent compositional output, blending influences from the worlds of jazz, free improv, minimalism, and contemporary music.
