The 19th Annual Music for People & Thingamajigs Festival commences with the durational performance
Continuum, a large-scale multimedia work based on 1,000 poems written by Stephen Ratcliffe over 1,000 days and read aloud from beginning to end with accompaniment by
Thingamajigs Performance Group (Dylan Bolles,
Suki O'Kane, Edward Schocker) ,
Rae Diamond (Long Tone Choir) and
Shinichi Iova-Koga (inkBoat), who bring their unique perspectives on durational creative practice, built upon the exquisite control of breath and body in motion. The performance is set in a military bunker in the beautiful setting of Mare Island National Preserve. Audience members are encouraged to picnic, hike or BBQ and come in and out of the performance as they please.
