Mazdak Khamda
This concert will feature original works by Mazdak Khamda, who will joined by noted Bay Area performers in presenting a variety of chamber, solo and electronic music. The program will cover some of Mazdak’s earlier works such as “Moods” for solo piano, along with recent pieces such as “A Soul’s Journey” for piano and violin and “Tied Up” for oboe and electronics. Noted performers on the program include violinist Kate Stenberg, oboist Glenda Bates, cellist Vanessa Ruotolo, and Friction Quartet which will premiere Kahmda’s newest string quartet. The program will also include works for solo piano by composers Garret Shatzer and Lucas Floyd.
