Robert Howard will perform Ligeti sonata for solo cello (1944) and Penedercki Per Slava (1987). Then Elizabeth Schumann joins him performing Messiaen’s Louange from the famous Quartet (1940), followed by Britten’s sonata for cello and piano (1961).
