Cookie Tongue:
Cookie Tongue is a musical project originally conceived by Omer Gal (aka Mother Tongue) in 2011 in San Francisco. The band’s most recent iteration rotates between two to six members depending on the show, all of whom are active independent interdisciplinary artists who bring their work to the music. Cookie Tongue “transcends expectations for a musical performance” with incantatory songs brought further to life in performance with theatre, puppetry, dance, poetry, costume and animation. In addition to Gal, who writes the songs, performs vocals, and plays guitar and piano, band members include Chris Carlone on drums, Liza Buzytsky on the harmonium drone, Kirt Wiley on percussion and vocals, Elijah Holstein on viola, and Jacquelyn Marie Shannon’s vocals and multi-instrumental experimentation on singing saw, glockenspiel, wind chimes, hand-maracas, and buffalo drum, combined with Butoh-inspired dance.

Sean Real:
Of Little Teeth & 99% Invisible. Daydreams about being small enough to climb up broccoli. Gets lost easily in crowded sentences. Writes songs when pain and kindness meet and then walk off somewhere new.
