Marc Kate
Marc Kate applies cinematic and conceptual approaches to music and audio production. As a response to the tech culture assault on San Francisco (and the world), Kate takes up the tools of the trade — computers and synthesis — and slyly counter-attacks, asserting humanity precisely where humanity is being evacuated. He creates a counterpoint to tech’s speed and greed — slow, immersive, materialist, drifting. He has released tracks on Loöq, Failing Forms and Dragon’s Eye Recordings, composed for choreographers Monique Jenkinson and Keith Hennessy, contributed to the soundtrack of cult horror film All About Evil, produces the podcasts Why We Listen and Scary Thoughts: Horror, Philosophy, Culture with writer Chad Lott. He has composed music for the audio tour of the Clyfford Still room at the SFMOMA, performed at the De Young Museum and was featured in Yerba Buena Center for the Arts’ Bay Area Now 7 and was an artist in residence at Land and Sea in Oakland, CA.

Joey Largent
Joey Largent is a Seattle-based sound artist focused on frequency enhancement and manipulation of acoustic instruments to explore their natural harmonic and inharmonic overtones. His work is recorded in varying isolated nature-based locations, responding to site-specific elements to form long duration improvised compositions with an emphasis on creating physical contexts in audio-based media. His debut release on Apophyllite Recordings, Earth Drones, includes a series of performances for harmonium, shruti box, and percussion recorded last winter in a cave in Southern Missouri, on a lake covering a flooded town in Northern Arkansas, and on the Olympic Coast of Washington state.

Chris Duncan
Chris Duncan is an Oakland-based artist who employs repetition and accumulation as a basis for experiments in visual and sound based media. An overriding theme in current works is the use of natural forces, such as the sun and the moon, as conceptual and compositional prompts for both sonic and visual efforts. Outside of his studio practice he organizes events and runs a small artist book press/record label/project space in Oakland called LAND AND SEA with his wife-Maria Otero. Chris received his MFa in Art Practice from Stanford University.
