"La Coyuntura & Insurgent Learning: Practical Pedagogies for Improvisation in Everyday Life"
"(Insurgent Learning) draws from convivial practices that celebrate locally rooted wisdoms to collectively construct tools to solve local problems that regenerate the community."

Load-in between 5:00 and 5:30 (no earlier).
Workshop 5:30-7:15.
Doors That Only Open in Silence (open session) 8:00-10:00.

Unkempt archivist & international playboy Marshall Ryan Trammell of Antidisciplinarity.net (formerly, Music Research Strategies) offers a constructivist curriculum for i/Improvising musicians while visiting the Bay Area. Using paper/scissors/glue, workshop participants will explore new, solidarity formations in language, thinking, and design in action, sound, narrative, and visual culture. Participants will construct scores in the manner of the secret, Underground Railroad quilt codes, a guerilla abolitionist, tactical media exercise and perform aspects of Chela Sandoval's Five Technologies of The Methodologies of the Oppressed.

Evidentiary material from this engagement will be on display during the "Performing-Political Education: Fighting Formations/What Does A Harm Free Zone Sound Like?" exhibition at Southern Exposure (April 1-28, 2019) and in perpetuity in the ArchiVerse, an archival multi-universe, designed for Antidisciplinarity.net.

*Special Note: "The participation of women in a social project is indispensable, since we can no longer think of new historical projects that does not only account for the correlation of forces but the relations of oppression, domination and subordination, by men against women in the public sphere as well as privately."
