DOLPHIN is a free music trio based in Oakland. Sam Lefebvre, Riley W. Macleod, & Max Nordile. Formed in 2019. Dolphin has no internet presence on porpoise.
GABBY WEN is an improviser, electroacoustic composer, and sound/performance artist living in San Francisco. Works with modular synthesizers, code, homemade electronics, field recordings, guqin (Chinese seven-stringed zither), found objects, voice, body & more. Having a background in computer science and postcolonial studies, she is interested in the subtle intersections of mathematics and art, of tradition and innovation, and the impact of new technology on indigenous music around the globe.

DIRT AND COPPER is a Bay Area collective dedicated to the performance of radical new music. Comprised of composer-performers, Dirt and Copper prioritizes diverse programming, new avenues of interpretation, and distinct performances.
Dedicated to unraveling the gradients between modes of sounding, Dirt and Copper’s performances incorporate substantial performative agency and draw from a range of sources including modular structures, text, graphics, structured improvisation, and traditional western notation. Dirt and Copper provides a laboratory for collaborators to explore new approaches to interpretation and performance.
