Karl Evangelista (gtr) + Ben Goldberg (cl)
Lewis Jordan (sax) + Sandy Poindexter (vln)

Karl Evangelista + Ben Goldberg Duo:
Master clarinetist Ben Goldberg and intrepid guitarist Karl Evangelista combine for duets of roving creativity, fluid logic, and beauty, exploring the realms of free improvisation, chamber music-inflected complexity, and harmonically liquid modern jazz with natural ease.

Lewis Jordan + Sandy Poindexter Duo:
Two distilled Spirits rejoice in an undiluted concoction.
Sandi Poindexter: Violin extraordinaire. Her first experiences were in the classical realm, and even then the desire to explore improvisation was a necessity. As a young adult for many years she studied, performed and toured as a protégée of an American Jazz master, John Handy. With a wide repertoire, including Cuban and early Mariachi music, she has enjoyed recording and performing with many artists all over the world.
Lewis Jordan: has explored improvisational and interdisciplinary approaches with artists from a range of practices in his Music at Large projects. His influences stretch from Leadbelly to Mingus to Ayler. He has performed and given workshops in free improvisation on the West Coast and in France, Germany and Hungary. His most recent CD, face it, features Sandi Poindexter on violin and vocals.

Cost: free -- donations accepted.
