[POSTPONED]

radioDinner returns with a special Webcast live from the Center for New Music, with Prelinger Library artists in residence Klooj (Thom Blum and Charles Kremenak) in several combinations with hosts Suki O'Kane and Michael Zelner.

Tune in for the live stream from the comfort, privacy, and safety of your remote location:

We’ll post the take-out menus as we go.

UPDATE [Mar 15]: Despite the closure of the Prelinger Library for the rest of the month, we are still planning on doing this live on Mar 24, from a new, socially distant location.

UPDATE [Mar 16]: The Center for New Music has graciously offered to let us live stream from its venue. Please note that this event will not be open to the public -- but of course will be available to listen to live on your device of choice.

UPDATE [Mar 17]: In light of the current local situation, we have to postpone this event. We look forward to your joining us for a radioDinner later!

About radioDinner:
Meticulously designed to accompany rinsing, chopping, sauteing and consuming, radioDinner promotes home-cooked meals throughout the New Music community, and allows listeners to prepare a meal at home while taking in a live performance of experimental, improvised music. This increases absorption of important nutrients.

About the performers:

Klooj (Thom Blum and Charles Kremenak) is an improvisational collision of sound, bounded by jazz, post-digital, and acousmatic traditions. The duo's collaboration began in 2007 with the live performance cinema ensemble Epic[abridged]. Their work over the years has included noise, ambient drone, and free jazz elements. Klooj explores deeper relationships within site specific location and history.

Charles Kremenak is a media artist who has been experimenting with sound and storytelling since the 1980s. His subject matter has included memory, synesthesia, surveillance, acoustic ecology, and the body as listening instrument.

Suki O'Kane and Michael Zelner formed their media ecology project The Noodles in the late 20th century, after an invitation to provide a live score for electric shopping cart races. They also perform in the noise duo Dry Patch and are known as instrumentalists and documentarians of the Bay Area New Music scene. They have hosted radioDinner since founding it in 2017.
