Ting Luo and a few other wonderful musicians, including Kathleen Supove(pianist), Vicky Chow(pianist), Nicholas Phillips(pianist), Chia Jui(Erhu), Wioleta Kaminska(multimedia) and a few others, will be showcasing works at the event, highlighting the theme of new music by minority composers and performers. The event will feature pieces by Emily Koh, Chen Yi, Li Yuan-Qing, Jean Ahn, Reena Esmail and so on. NAC will premiere two pieces from FOOTSTEPS by Jean Ahn, with multimedia works by video artist Jo Ho. Other premiere pieces include Lost in.., sound and music by
Ting Luo, visuals by Marco Pinter, and FIELDS OF REPRESSION, piano duo by
Ting Luo and Gloria Damijan.
This concert will be followed by an open Zoom discussion featuring performers and composers, including Chen Yi and Emily Koh attending the discussion. Audiences are more than welcome to join and speak about what they concern about, which may be relevant to new music, living composers, interdisciplinary arts, and artists from minorities.
The event is hosted by New Arts Collaboration, co-hosted by the Contemporary Art Music Project, and Network for New Music. The funds collected in this event will be contributed to supporting the world premiere of NAC Piano and Multimedia Concert happening on November 7th, 2021 at Old First Concert.

Ting LuoTing Luo, pianist and director of New Arts Collaboration, based in Bay Area, California. She has performed and lectured in prestigious venues in China and U.S., advocating contemporary music.
Ting Luo has curated a multimedia music and art project - NAC (NewArtsCollaboration.org) since 2020. She actively collaborates with artists from multiple disciplines including visual artists, composers, and sound artists. Works by NAC have been featured in The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art’s Digital Shorts Film Festival, Fresh Inc Festival, New Music Gathering Conference/Festival, and are programmed by Old First Concert Series and Thailand New Music and Arts Symposium.

Eunmi Ko
Pianist Eunmi Ko concertizes as a recitalist and chamber musician throughout Asia, Europe, and Americas. She appeared in concert halls and festivals, including Carnegie Hall, Herbst Theatre, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Festival de Musica Contemporanea (Madrid), CLUSTER (Italy), San Francisco International Piano Festival, Seoul Arts Center, among others. Praised for original interpretations, abundances of piano technique, and interesting programming, she performs a wide range of piano repertoire from premieres of new works by living composers to the traditional and rarely played piano works. She is the co-founder and President of the Contemporary Art Music Project and artistic director of the international new music festival Dot The Line(Korea).

Thomas Schuttenhelm
Schuttenhelm’s collaborators have included such artists as Bang on a Can All-Stars’ Robert Black, Tempo del Fuoco and the Connecticut Trio. Popular recording artist Paul Bisaccia featured Schuttenhelm’s music on the PBS Special, The Great American Piano, calling it “rich in content, delicate, elegant, and deliberately beautiful.” Schuttenhelm performs extensively as a concert guitarist, and has played with the FIREWORKS Ensemble, toured with Purple Rock Productions and performed with the Wellspring Dance Company. Schuttenhelm is on the faculty at the Hartt School at the University of Hartford and Central Connecticut State University. Thomas Schuttenhelm is the artistic director of Network for New Music.

New Arts Collaboration
New Arts Collaboration is a music and art project for presenting and advocating new and experimental piano works with extended technique and multimedia. In our vision, piano as a medium of human expression could be formed and involved freely and experimentally with other mediums including electronics, fixed media, and visual, which has its unique voice and soul to be heard. NAC connects with artists from multi-disciplined fields, forming a strong bond for artists to collaborate with each other, including composers, sound artists, visual artists and so on.
Works by NAC have been selected and featured in CAPMT-MTNA Artists Panel Webinar, The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art’s Digital Shorts Film Festival, Fresh Inc Festival, New Music Gathering Conference/Festival, Old First Concert Series and Thailand New Music and Arts Symposium in 2021.
