Blectum From Blechdom
Somewhere between the rodeo clowns in the summer and archangels at the end of time: Blectum from Blechdom have returned. This is obvious from the moment your needle drops on their new album 'DeepBone' and never lets you forget it. Swirling swarms of inhumanly perky voices bounce between your speakers, only taking breaths for the electronics to be equally overcharged. Hyper-melodic glitches and helium-contaminated Broadway arrangements are all interwoven with brocaded beats and elegant fractal architectures, sending an important message: Brain go crazy now! You'll enjoy their performance much, much more with just a little background knowledge, as dropped Over The Edge on KPFA... *required prerequisite listening, don't shortchange yourself!*

Anti-Ear
It's Sprang already, when the Edible Bird Ranch sees its inmates 'scape back from whence they flapped. Anti-Ear is corkscrewing into a hard deck landing, coming in hot from New Orleans and straight through the door of our own Peaock Lounge. Master of stage, sound, and fury, Tyler Harwood is the notorious polymath behind the legendary labels Bent Over Cowboy and Planetary Magnetics. Prolific, spontaneous, genius, his bands Brown Whornet, Chablis, Neung Phak, Tarantism, are the stuff of oft-repeated lore. And in the distant future he'll become a member of the time traveling duo Beandip Troubadours, hopefully returning any second now to tell us they told us so. Bot on this night, his ONLY west coast show, if you snooze you forever looze. Joining him, handcuffed to briefcase jammed with top secret video sythnesizers, none other than Lektricman! Unreal.

Zebra Secrets
You can't tell how many there are, or what animal apocrypha their tramplings tap out in hoofed code. The blur of periphery is brought focused and center, cacophony and snorting teeth, untameable guitars, telepathic percussion turning a herd on a dime, stumbling sound synthesis steering a hardcharging path to oblivion. You'll find something warm and knobkneed to lean on as you find your legs, then Three Day Stubble legends Brent Johnson, John Alderman, and Repulse Kava's John Seden usher you into a gallop across infinite tundra, reversing and running and reversing again til you've burned your stripes and turn sideways straight.

Ven Voisey
Presence irreducible, being itself, without translation or utility, is the substrate beneath perception. The ability to summon presence without interpretive attachment, subjectivity itself but without identification, is an approach to art that defies easy description. Ven Voisey summons presence in physical space, in sound, with kinetic automata, through time and motion. This isn't meant to be art speak but an accurate explanation of why you have to be inside the Peacock Lounge for what will happen on this night. Way more fun than artspeak might imply, Voicey is easy to be around and no genre or jargon explains what he does. Close as we can tell, he's a multidisciplinary artist marvellously attuned to form, material, technology, and ontology who modulates time and presence into something perceptible that leaves you saying, holy shit. Tonight might have to do with a multichannel distributed sound sculpture in darkness. Take a peek at his past work, I'll shut up.
