8:30 pm Davis/Brown/Winant
Ben Davis - cello
Chris Brown - electronics/piano
William Winant - drums
The trio has a broad take on free improvisation. Some passages concentrate on sound and texture alone, while melodic motifs, lush harmonies and rhythmic drive also play an important role.

"These performances move along a spectrum running from a sparse, sound-based austerity to lush, filled-out textures floating on an undulating cushion of piano harmonies." - Daniel Barbiero, Avant Music News
